Swerea Sicomp AB is NSKs sister organization in Sweden and celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2009. Swerea Sicom has played an important role in developing the Swedish composite industry. Swerea and Sicomp and NSK are cooperating in both national and international projects included EU-funded projects.

SINTEF RAUFOSS MANUFACTORING

SINTEF Raufoss Manufacturing (SRM) are located in the same building as Norwegian Composite Center and Norwegian Center Excellence on light weight materials at the Industrial Park at Raufoss 130 km north of Oslo.

SRM delivers services in the field of automated production methods, technology management, life cycle management of products and material technology. SRM also supports laboratories and manufacturing facilities to develop industrial processes. SRM has about 70 employees.

NORWEGIAN DEFENSE RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT (FFI)

Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI) has as its main goal to deliver research & development to the needs of the Norwegian Defense organization. FFI are also an advisory body for the Ministry of Defense in Norway.

FFI has more than 450 researchers and engineers that are developing new technology and knowledge that are needed to give Norway a modern and up to date Defense organization.

SINTEF- MATERIAL & CHEMISTRY

SINTEF- is a research establishment that are delivering R&D activities in a wide range of sectors. They have offices both in Oslo and Trondheim.

SINTEF- material and chemistry has its main focus on material technology, applied chemistry and applied biology. They are working in close cooperation with the industry to develop new and more advanced materials, products, processes and tools.

SINTEF- material and chemistry is also working with composite materials. More than 40 people in Oslo and Trondheim has their main activities on polymers and composite materials.

SINTEF has well developed laboratory facilities.
NTNU

NTNU

NTNU is Norway’s largest university on science and technology. They have their campus in Trondheim and has about 20 000 students and 4800 employees. Department of Engineering Design and Materials are focusing on composite materials.
NCE Raufoss

NCE Raufoss

National Center of Excellence (NCE) Raufoss has its main focus on light weight materials. NCE Raufoss shall make efforts so that the enterprises throughout networking will strengthen their international marked opportunities so that they can develop new markets based on products and services with high level of competence.
This effort are split into four aspects:
Success in existing companies throughout higher volumes, more effective production methods and entrepreneurship.
Develop and establish new companies with a marked possibility of more than 1 000 mill NOK and more than 250 employees.
Establish new activities in the network worth 5 times the money put in to NCE Raufoss.
Develop a strategic plan for the network.
